Mayer Lehman

Biography

Mayer Lehman emigrated from Germany and, along with his brothers, co-founded Lehman Brothers, helping to finance railroads and commercial ventures that supported the nation’s expansion.

Deeply committed to his faith and community, he also supported charitable and cultural causes, leaving a legacy honored at Salem Fields Cemetery and beyond.
