Biography
Michael Joachim was an established member of Berlin's Jewish community, living through the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He witnessed the gradual transformation of Jewish life in Prussia, as legal restrictions were progressively relaxed and opportunities for civic participation expanded.
Joachim's long life from 1746 to 1822 spanned nearly eight decades of significant social change. His burial at the Jüdischer Friedhof Berlin-Mitte reflects his standing within Berlin's organized Jewish community and his commitment to its religious and cultural traditions.
