Biography

Nahum Sokolow, born in 1859, emerged as one of the foremost Hebrew writers and translators of his generation, editing newspapers and clarifying the Zionist vision for readers at home and abroad.

His diplomatic efforts, including representing the movement at international gatherings and fostering dialogue with global leaders, helped advance the cause until his passing in 1936 and earned him a place on Mount Herzl.
