Biography

Naoomi Tamura was a dedicated pastor who served the Christian community in Japan from 1858 to 1934. His spiritual leadership and pastoral work contributed to the growth and development of Christianity in Japan during the Meiji and Taishō periods.

Tamura's commitment to his faith and his congregation exemplified the dedication of early Christian leaders in Japan. He passed away in 1934 and was interred at Somei Cemetery, where his memory continues to be honored by those he served.
