Biography

Nathan Green Gordon, born in 1916, brought steady courage to every challenge he faced, first as a naval aviator whose daring rescue missions during World War II earned him a Medal of Honor and lasting respect from the men he saved.

After returning home he served as Arkansas lieutenant governor for three terms, remaining a tireless advocate for education, veterans, and the citizens he served, and his legacy of calm leadership endures at Elmwood Cemetery where he rests.
