Nehemiah Perry

Biography

Nehemiah Perry of New Jersey brought his business sense to public service, representing his state in the U.S. House during the Civil War era and advocating for sound fiscal oversight.

He continued to serve his community through civic engagement and remained a steady figure until his death in 1881, when he was laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
