Nellie Bly, born Elizabeth Cochran Seaman in 1864, earned fame as a bold journalist whose investigative reports shed light on injustices, most notably her undercover work in a women's asylum and her world-record trip around the globe.

She used her public voice to fight for the vulnerable and to urge reforms, leaving a legacy of tireless courage now honored at Woodlawn Cemetery.
