Biography
Nelson Vogel Brittin, born in 1920, answered the call to service as a United States Army officer and exemplified calm leadership as he guided soldiers through the rigors of training and deployment.
While leading his men in Korea in 1951, he repeatedly exposed himself to enemy fire to protect others, earning the Medal of Honor posthumously and maintaining his place of rest at Beverly National Cemetery.
