Biography
Nicolas Benoît was a French military officer whose service spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1875, he answered the call to duty during a transformative period in European history, serving with commitment and honor in the French military.
Benoît's life was cut short by the outbreak of the First World War, in which he died in 1914. His sacrifice is commemorated at Notre Dame de Lorette National Cemetery, one of France's most significant military burial grounds, where he rests among thousands of fellow soldiers who gave their lives for France.
