Biography

Born in 1924, Nicolas Ossorguine found his calling in sacred music and the tender mode of service it can inspire. As chapelmaster at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, he preserved a liturgical tradition that soothed mourners and lifted their spirits with melodies grounded in faith and compassion.
