Biography
Antoine Pevsner (1884–1962) was a Russian-born sculptor and painter whose innovative artistic vision profoundly influenced modern art. As a pioneering figure in constructivism and abstract art, Pevsner developed distinctive sculptural forms that challenged traditional artistic conventions and expanded the possibilities of three-dimensional expression.
Pevsner's career took him from Russia to Paris, where he became a central figure in the European avant-garde movement. His works are celebrated for their geometric precision, spatial innovation, and integration of modern materials. He spent his final years in France, continuing to create influential works until his death, and was buried at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
