Biography
Niels Bredal (1841–1888) was a Danish painter whose artistic career, though relatively brief, contributed to the development of Danish art in the latter nineteenth century. Working during a period of artistic innovation and change, Bredal engaged with contemporary artistic movements and traditions.
Though his life was cut short at the age of forty-seven, Bredal's artistic contributions were valued by his contemporaries and remain part of Denmark's cultural legacy. He was buried at Assistens Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other notable figures in Danish art and culture.
