Biography
Nikolay Michaylovitsj Sijak was born in 1872 and served as military personnel, contributing his service during the late Imperial and early Soviet periods. He represented an older generation of military officers who lived through Russia's dramatic transformations.
In 1937, at the age of 65, Sijak was executed at Sandarmokh during the Great Purge, becoming one of the elderly officers whose experience and service could not protect them from the political terror of the time.
