Biography
Olivia A. Davidson brought a fierce intellect and steady resolve to the founding days of the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute, nurturing teacher training programs with a vision rooted in both academic excellence and the dignity of labor.
As a trusted colleague and partner to Booker T. Washington, she sought out talented young women, secured resources for the school, and modeled a life of service that continues to inspire visitors to the Tuskegee University Campus Cemetery, where she is remembered.
