Biography
Overton Carr (1811–1886) traveled with the Saints across the Midwest, contributing his steady work ethic to the families who built towns after the exodus from Nauvoo.
In his later years he returned east, supporting his local congregation and continuing to nurture family ties until his passing, after which he was interred at Homewood Cemetery as a quiet but steadfast example of pioneer perseverance.
