Overton Carr

Biography

Overton Carr (1850–1881) lived a brief life against the backdrop of Reconstruction, yet his efforts to help relatives and neighbors during those uncertain years left a lasting impression in the Homewood Cemetery community.

Though his years were few, those who knew him treasured his kindness and the thoughtful way he listened, and they continue to honor his memory where he rests at Homewood.
