Biography

Pál Greguss (1889–1984) devoted his life to botany, mapping the plant life of the Great Plain and helping to build a deeper appreciation for Hungary's native flora.

He taught aspiring botanists, published reference works that guided the study of regional vegetation, and is remembered with respect at the Central graveyard in Szeged.
