Patrick Neill, naturalist and enthusiastic gardener, delighted in cataloging the wonders of the plant world while sharing his knowledge through writings and public discourse. A guiding spirit for gardens and parks in Edinburgh, he encouraged appreciation of botany among both amateurs and scholars.
