Peter Struve

Biography

Peter Struve began as a Marxist economist and became a leading liberal publicist, editing the journal Russkaya Mysl and advocating democratic reforms for Russia while opposing both autocracy and extremism.

His later years in France were devoted to sustaining Russian liberal ideas among émigrés, and he now lies with fellow exiles at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
