Biography

Praskovya Myatleva (1772–1859) lived a long life spanning nearly nine decades of Russian history. She witnessed the transformations of her nation from the late 18th century through the mid-19th century.

Myatleva's longevity allowed her to see generations of her family and community flourish. She was laid to rest at the Coastal Monastery of St. Sergius, a sacred place that honored her memory and her enduring faith throughout her extended life.
