Biography
Prince Frederik of the Netherlands was born into the House of Orange at the close of the eighteenth century and matured during the nation’s transition from upheaval to constitutional monarchy. He took up the reins of military command with a sense of duty, guided by the ideals of honor, loyalty, and support for the burgeoning unity of the realm.
His long life of service earned him the respect of soldiers and citizens alike, and he continued to represent the royal family with grace long after active field command. The Nieuwe Kerk in Delft marks his resting place, where visitors can remember him as a steadfast figure in a dynamic era.
