Biography
Prince Rostislav Alexandrovich of Russia was a member of the Russian imperial family whose life spanned the tumultuous twentieth century. Born in 1902, he witnessed the dramatic transformations of the Russian state and the diaspora of the imperial family across Europe.
The Prince's life reflected the complexities of exile and displacement experienced by many members of the Russian nobility following the revolution. He was laid to rest in the Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Nice, a sanctuary for those of the Russian faith and heritage living in the Mediterranean region.
