Princess Marguerite of Orléans (1869–1940) was the daughter of Prince Robert, Duke of Chartres, and a granddaughter of King Louis-Philippe; she carried forward her family’s dedication to charity and the arts throughout her life.
She died as Europe was once again engulfed in war, and her remains lie among her ancestors at the Dreux Royal Chapel.
