Biography
R. Tait McKenzie combined his medical training with a love of anatomy to become one of the foremost sculptors of athletic form. His studies at the University of Pennsylvania and abroad informed works such as The Ideal Scout, which celebrated discipline, grace, and the dignity of the human body.
He nurtured generations of medical and physical education students, always urging them to care for the whole person and to see art and science as companions in service to community health.
