Biography
Richard Arkwright Junior (1755–1843) was an accomplished entrepreneur who inherited and expanded upon the industrial legacy of his family. Born into a world of innovation and manufacturing, he contributed to the development of British industry during the height of the Industrial Revolution.
Arkwright's long life of eighty-eight years allowed him to witness tremendous changes in manufacturing and commerce. He was buried in St Mary's Church Yard in Cromford, a fitting resting place in the heart of the industrial region where his family's enterprises flourished.
