Richard D. Hubbard

Biography

Richard D. Hubbard used his legal training to enter Connecticut public life, winning election as governor in 1877 and championing education and infrastructure before leaving office in 1879.

He remained active in civic affairs and is interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where visitors honor the thoughtful leadership he provided to the state.
