Biography

Richard Taylor tended plantations in Kentucky, providing steady leadership on the land while his family, including the future President Zachary Taylor, grew in stature.

He combined the duties of planter with a devotion to his community and his kin, earning respect and eventually resting at the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.
