Robert J. Gamble

Biography

Robert J. Gamble rose from legal practice to represent South Dakota in the U.S. House and, later, the Senate, championing infrastructure, agricultural interests, and veterans as he sought the common good.

He remained a respected figure in Yankton even after leaving Washington, and his grave lies in Yankton Municipal Cemetery.
