Biography

Samuel Keen Ashton, born in 1822, embodied the industrious spirit of Saint James the Less parish and was known for lending his craftsmanship whenever the community needed it. He greeted newcomers with a generous heart and kept a watchful eye on the well-being of the congregation.

After a lifetime of service and fellowship he died in 1895, and his grave in the churchyard of Saint James the Less remains a quiet reminder of a faithful neighbor and friend.
