Biography

Samuel Wells (1801–1868) spent his years guiding others with consistency and a measured sense of purpose, becoming a touchstone for those who sought reliable friendship. He bore witness to the many changes of the early nineteenth century and did so while maintaining a steady presence in his home and beyond.
