Sarah Savage

Biography

Sarah Savage lived from 1760 to 1844, her eighty-four years spanning from the colonial period through the early republic and into the nineteenth century. She rests at Woodlawn Cemetery, where her long life and memory are honored.

Savage's longevity allowed her to witness tremendous change and growth in the nation and her community. Her burial at Woodlawn Cemetery reflects the respect accorded to those whose lives bridged generations and whose memories endure in the community's heritage.
