Biography

Saul Ascher was a writer and bookseller whose intellectual contributions and entrepreneurial ventures made him a notable figure in Berlin's cultural life. As both an author and a merchant of books, he played a role in the dissemination of knowledge and ideas during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
