Biography
Sazanami Iwaya was a distinguished poet of the Meiji and Taishō periods, born in 1870. He was a literary figure who contributed to Japanese poetry and literature during a time of cultural flourishing and artistic innovation in Japan.
Iwaya's poetic works reflected the aesthetic sensibilities and cultural values of his era. He lived until 1933 and was interred at Tama Cemetery, remembered as an important voice in Japanese literary tradition.
