Schuyler Livingston

Biography

Schuyler Livingston was born in 1772 into the distinguished Livingston family of New York, inheriting a legacy of influence and prominence in colonial and early American society. He died in 1809 at the age of thirty-seven, his life unfolding during the critical years of American independence and the early republic.

Though little is definitively known of his individual accomplishments, Schuyler was part of a family whose members played significant roles in shaping the nation's history. His burial in Trinity Church Cemetery reflects the respect accorded to the Livingston name and his place within one of America's most notable families.
