Biography
Scott Helvenston (1965-2004) carried forward a tradition of service that began in the Navy SEALs, where he earned a reputation for sharp intuition, physical discipline, and loyalty to his fellow warriors. After his military career he turned to private security, still driven by the desire to protect others and to give back in situations where danger was ever present.
Colleagues remember him as someone who simply would not leave a teammate behind, on training fields and in the field abroad; his fierce focus was matched by a warm willingness to share what he had learned. Florida National Cemetery is now his resting place, standing as a testament to the bravery and commitment he brought to every mission.
