Biography
Sergey Ivanovitsj Golosjtsjapov (1882-1937) was a Russian whose life spanned the revolutionary transformation of his homeland. He came of age during the final years of the Russian Empire and lived through the turbulent decades of Soviet consolidation and industrialization.
Golosjtsjapov was executed at the Butovo firing range in 1937 as part of Stalin's systematic terror campaign. His death represents one of the countless losses suffered by ordinary Russians during this catastrophic period of Soviet history.
