Biography
Simon van den Bent was a dedicated resistance fighter who worked tirelessly against Nazi occupation in the Netherlands. Born in 1919, he joined the underground movement and risked his life in the struggle for Dutch freedom and independence during the darkest years of World War II.
Van den Bent made the ultimate sacrifice in 1944 at the age of 25 and was laid to rest at Ede Memorial Cemetery. His memory endures as a symbol of the courage and determination displayed by members of the Dutch resistance movement.
