Sir Edward Sassoon, 2nd Baronet, was a prominent businessman and member of the distinguished Sassoon family, one of the most influential merchant families of the 19th century. Throughout his life, Sir Edward was involved in various commercial enterprises and maintained the family's reputation for philanthropy and cultural patronage. He passed away in 1912 and was laid to rest at Willesden Jewish Cemetery, where many members of London's Jewish community were interred.
