Biography
Spencer W. Kimball, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1973 until his passing in 1985, guided members through a time of expansion, emphasizing service, personal revelation, and missionary outreach.
He oversaw the 1978 declaration that extended priesthood blessings to all worthy men regardless of race and encouraged members to seek out neighbors in need; he now rests at Salt Lake City Cemetery, where members continue to honor his faith-filled leadership.
