Biography
Stanisław Kras was a Polish military officer born in 1890 who brought decades of military experience to his service. As a senior officer in Poland's armed forces, he played a role in the development and leadership of the military during the interwar years.
Kras met his end in 1940 at Katyn, where he was among the thousands of Polish military leaders who perished in this tragedy. He is honored at the Katyn Polish War Cemetery, a solemn testament to the loss of Poland's military leadership during World War II.
