Ștefan Baciu wove poetry, journalism, and diplomacy into a life devoted to giving voice to the Romanian diaspora, especially through his stewardship of literary magazines and correspondence with writers across continents.

After years abroad he settled in Hawaii, where he continued to celebrate multicultural exchange and nurture younger writers, ensuring the bridges he built between cultures endured.
