Stephen Alonzo Schoff brought the fine art of engraving to countless publications, carving delicate lines for banknotes, book illustrations, and commemorative plates that chronicled the aspirations of his age.

In Newton he nurtured apprentices with patient guidance and remained a beloved figure whose luminous work still invites admiration, now remembered at Newton Cemetery.
