Susy Clemens was the cherished daughter of Samuel Clemens and showed, from a young age, a luminous intelligence and a command of prose that portended a bright future in letters. Friends and family alike marveled at her verbal dexterity and wit, traits she inherited from her father and sharpened into her own distinct talent.

Her untimely death cut short a promising life, but the memory of her warmth and potential endures, marked by the peaceful grounds of Woodlawn Cemetery where she now rests.
