Biography
Swante M. Swenson, a visionary businessman born in Sweden, became one of Texas’s most respected agricultural pioneers, overseeing vast grain and livestock holdings and guiding the development of ranch communities. He remained faithful to his immigrant roots while helping to shape the economic foundation of the region.
Swenson’s commitment to service and prosperity echoed through his life and into the hills of Woodlawn Cemetery, where he now lies among the other stewards of his era.
