Biography
Thad F. Wasielewski, born in Milwaukee in 1904, studied law and quickly became a voice for the working-class neighborhoods of Wisconsin. Elected to the House representing the state's 4th district in 1938, he served through 1942, supporting the New Deal and championing veterans' benefits during a time of great national change.
After he left Congress he returned to private practice while staying close to community organizations, offering guidance to young lawyers and remaining a steady presence in civic affairs.
