Theodosia Grace Ammons

Biography

Theodosia Grace Ammons (1861–1907) dedicated her life to expanding opportunities for women, both as an educator and as an advocate for civic engagement. As a leader in Colorado, she helped organize the State Federation of Women’s Clubs and worked tirelessly to bring agricultural education and practical skills to young women across the region.

Her thoughtful leadership inspired many to believe in the power of collective action, and her work helped pave the way for future generations of women to participate fully in public life. Her example lives on in the clubs and institutions she helped nurture.
