Theodosia Trollope

Biography

Theodosia Trollope was a British writer and member of the prominent Trollope literary family. Born in 1816, she established herself as an author in her own right, contributing to 19th-century literature through her novels and writings. Her work reflected the literary traditions and social concerns of her era, and she benefited from and contributed to the rich intellectual environment of her family.

Theodosia lived until 1865, maintaining her literary career throughout much of the 19th century. Her burial at the English Cemetery in Florence, alongside other members of her family, reflects her long residence in Italy and her standing within the expatriate community. She remains part of the legacy of the Trollope family, one of the most significant literary dynasties of the Victorian period.
