Thomas Allcock

Biography

Thomas Allcock (1815–1891) invented Allcock’s porous plaster and built a manufacturing concern that married chemistry with compassion, supplying liniments and dressings to soldiers and home cooks alike.

He continued to support his workers and neighbors until his passing, and he now rests in Dale Cemetery.
