Biography
Thomas Fearnley became one of the first Norwegian artists to bring the luminous landscapes of home and abroad to European attention through studies in Dresden and Rome and a mastery of romantic light.
His work celebrated mountains, fjords, and coastal light, nurturing a sense of national pride long after his early death and finding a final resting place at Vår Frelsers gravlund.
