Timothy Blackstone

Biography

Timothy Blackstone (1829–1900) was a railroad builder and civic leader who saw industry and community as partners, helping to knit cities together while supporting philanthropic causes in his private life.

His generosity and belief in progress are still recalled by those benefited by his patronage, and he now sleeps beneath the trees of Yantic Cemetery.
